SOAKING OFF

Some of you may still have product on your nails. It may be best that you soak off, because we don't know when we will be able to see each other again. If you have experienced some lifting, there may be standing water or debris between the product and your natural nail. This can lead to a fungus. We want to keep your nails healthy. So let's get to soaking off.

SUPPLIES

  1. Pure Acetone

  2. A Towel

  3. Paper Towel

  4. Nail File

  5. Pusher/Orangewood Stick

  6. Glass Bowl (FOR HARD GEL ONLY)

  7. A spoonful of Olive Oil (FOR HARD GEL ONLY)

  8. Aluminum Foil (For Gel Polish or Gel Manicure Soakers)

  9. Cotton Balls (For Gel Polish or Gel Manicure Soakers)

SOAK-OFF PROCEDURE

  1. Place a towel on the table for protection.

  2. Hard Gel Soakers: Pour the acetone in the bowl. Add a spoonful of olive oil and stir. File off the shiny surface on the nail. Place one hand in the bowl. Soak for about 30 minutes, while filing and pushing away the loose product. Continue until all the product is off of your nail bed. Repeat on the other hand. Gel Manicure Soakers: Cut the aluminum foil into ten strips. File off the shiny surface. Soak the cotton ball in the acetone and place on top of the nail. Wrap aluminum foil to conceal the cotton ball. Do this for the remainder of your fingers. If you can't do both hands at the same time, then do one hand at a time. Soak for 15 minutes, while filing and gently pushing away the loose product.
